General

The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the legal provisions (DSGVO, TKG 2003). In this data protection information, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within the scope of our website.

Server log files

As part of the hosting of the website, data that your browser automatically transmits to us when you visit the website is collected and stored in designated server log files. This includes:

  • browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request

This data cannot be assigned to specific persons. This data is not merged with other data sources. We reserve the right to check this data retrospectively if we become aware of concrete indications of illegal use.

Use of cookies

In order to make visiting our website more attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use so-called cookies on various pages. These are small text files that are stored on your terminal device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted at the end of the browser session, i.e. after you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your end device and allow us to recognize your browser the next time you visit (persistent cookies). You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and decide individually about their acceptance or exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general. If you do not accept cookies, the functionality of our website may be limited.

Use and linking of social media

So-called social plug-ins (“plug-ins”) from social networks are used on our website. These services are offered by the respective company (“provider”). To increase the protection of your data when visiting our website, the plug-ins are integrated into the page using the so-called “2-click solution”. This integration ensures that when you call up a page of our website that contains such plug-ins, no connection is yet established with the provider’s servers. Only when you activate the plug-ins and thus give your consent to the data transfer, your browser establishes a direct connection to the provider’s servers. The content of the respective plug-in is transmitted directly to your browser and integrated into the page. By integrating the plug-ins, the provider receives the information that your browser has called up the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a profile with the provider or are not currently logged in. It cannot be ruled out that this information (including your IP address) is transmitted from your browser directly to a server of the provider (also USA) and stored there. If you interact with the plug-ins, for example by clicking the “Like” button (Facebook), the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a server of the provider and stored there. The information is also published on Facebook and displayed there to your contacts. The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy, can be found in the provider’s privacy policy.

Legal basis of processing

Article 6 (1) lit. a DSGVO serves as the legal basis for our company for processing operations in which we obtain consent for a specific processing purpose. If the processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party, as is the case, for example, with processing operations that are necessary for a delivery of goods or the provision of another service or consideration, the processing is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. b DSGVO. The same applies to such processing operations that are necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, for example in cases of inquiries about our products or services. If our company is subject to a legal obligation by which the processing of personal data becomes necessary, such as for the fulfillment of tax obligations, the processing is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. c DSGVO. In rare cases, the processing of personal data might become necessary to protect vital interests of the data subject or another natural person. This would be the case, for example, if a visitor were to be injured on our premises and as a result his or her name, age, health insurance data or other vital information had to be passed on to a doctor, hospital or other third party. Then the processing would be based on Art. 6 (1) lit. d DSGVO. Finally, processing operations could be based on Art. 6(1)(f) DSGVO. Processing operations that are not covered by any of the aforementioned legal bases are based on this legal basis if the processing is necessary to protect a legitimate interest of our company or a third party, provided that the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject are not overridden. Such processing operations are permitted to us in particular because they were specifically mentioned by the European legislator. In this respect, it took the view that a legitimate interest could be assumed if the data subject is a customer of the controller (recital 47, sentence 2 DSGVO).

Your rights

In principle, you are entitled to the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, revocation and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or your data protection rights have otherwise been violated in some way, you can complain to the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the data protection authority.
